Update 12/29/2022 – MIEC Member Portal access has been restored. Note: When accessing policy documents you may experience a delay of up to one to two minutes.  We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we improve our systems. Valued MIEC Member:

If you recall, notices were sent via US Mail in late October detailing several updates/changes that would be occurring as we approached the end of the 2022 calendar year due to a system migration.  We are sending this notice to provide important information regarding the final stages of MIEC’s system transition, as well as a timeline for what to expect as we approach renewal.

For policies set to automatically renew effective February 1st, 2023, Renewal Invoices have begun being generated by the policy system starting December 21st, 2022.  We anticipate all policies set to automatically renew by the system will be completed by end of day Tuesday, December 27th.  When your renewal has been completed, you will receive an email from a system email address at DoNotReply@miec.com.  This system-generated email will welcome you to the new web portal, from which you will be able to access your invoice(s), make a payment, and/or access policy documents.  Please be advised, you will need to recredential yourself in this system by providing the email address on file, and setup a new password.  If you have questions regarding access to the new web portal or resetting your password, please visit www.miec.com/miecmemberportalfaqs/.

If you have received a system-generated notification from DoNotReply@miec.com, you are able to make a payment online.  (You may wish to check “junk” folders and add miec.com as a safe sender)

For policies manually renewing, that process will continue beyond December 27thFor 2023, manually renewed policies primarily fall into three main categories.

  • Idaho Policyholders – Due to a filing change with the Idaho Department of Insurance, Idaho policies are being manually renewed, and will not run with the automatic batch.  We anticipate these renewals to be completed by early January.  Once completed, a system-generated email will be sent to the email address on file.
  • Psychiatry & Pain Management Specialists – MIEC members within these specialties received renewal applications for the 2023 policy year.  Therefore, these policies will be manually renewed.  Once complete, a system-generated email will be sent to the email address on file.
  • Custom Accounts – For MIEC members that are part of a group, and/or custom account, these policies will also be manually renewed.  These policies require custom intervention to ensure the policies renews correctly.  Therefore, these policies will be manually renewed.  Once complete, a system-generated email will be sent to the email address on file.  As per our prior communications, group invoicing will be consolidated to the authorized representative.  Notifications will be sent to the administrator/practice manager on file.

Following online availability, hard-copy invoices will be printed and mailed to MIEC policyholders as soon as possible.  Please note, as per our prior communications group invoices will now be consolidated and billed at the group level.  Individual members of the group will no longer receive separate invoices.  If you have additional questions regarding the MIEC system transition, please visit www.miec.com/miecmemberportalfaqs/.

If you have questions regarding your renewal invoice, please visit https://www.miec.com/renewal/.  There you will find information regarding rate changes that may be affecting your state, as well as frequently asked questions.

MIEC offices will be closed for the holiday beginning Friday, December 23rd.  Our offices will reopen Tuesday, December 27th, at 8:00 am pacific time.
