Supporting Physicians in Private Practice in Idaho
Oakland, CA (1/1/2026) – Following several months of constructive collaboration, MIEC has finalized an administrative services agreement with Independent Doctors of Idaho (IDID). This agreement lays the foundation for a constructive relationship between the organizations, supporting private practice in Idaho, empowering patients with alternatives in accessing care, and aligning physicians with best-in-class professional liability protection and patient safety services.

Independent Doctors of Idaho (IDID) was formed in 2013 as a response to an unprecedented number of Idaho physicians becoming employed by large hospital systems. Today, IDID is an organization of close to 1,000 independent physicians in Idaho that supports physicians and other healthcare providers in private practice, which empowers patients to control their own medical care by providing access to care and alternatives to large hospital systems.
